PlantPing
Houseplants don’t die because you don’t care. They die because the reminder you set for Tuesday never arrived, and you noticed on Saturday.
A reminder that actually arrives
PlantPing stores each schedule on the device and re-registers its alarms after a reboot, after an app update, and after the system clears background work. If your phone’s manufacturer is unusually aggressive about battery, the app explains which setting to switch off instead of silently missing the ping.
- Per-plant intervals — from daily to yearly, because a fern and a cactus are not the same problem.
- Survives reboots and battery-saver modes.
- Notification history — see what was sent and what you missed.
- No account, no cloud, no sign-in: the app opens straight onto your plants.
Watering in one tap
When the notification arrives, tap Watered and the next date is calculated automatically. If you are away, or the soil is still damp, handle the overdue item without pretending you watered it:
- Watered today — log it and reschedule from now.
- Snooze — postpone the ping by a few hours or a day.
- Skip — move to the next cycle without claiming the plant was watered.
The result is an honest history instead of a list of lies, which is what every other reminder tool quietly turns into after two weeks.
Your plants stay on your phone
PlantPing works fully offline. Schedules never leave the device, and a local backup can be restored after a reinstall or moved to a new phone. On Pro, the whole collection can also be exported as JSON — easy to keep in your own notes or to move elsewhere.
Free and Pro
The free version tracks up to five plants with intervals of 1, 3, 7, 14 or 30 days. PlantPing Pro is a one-time purchase — no subscription — that removes the plant limit, unlocks any interval from 1 to 365 days, and adds the manual JSON export.
